How to Keep Water Out of Your Garage
Locate the leak
Water usually enters the garage from one of two places: from the ground or from the roof.
So the first thing you want to do is determine where the leak is. Once you know the location of the leak, you can fix it.
Repair garage door
Garage doors have seals, or garage seals, which increase the length of the gate. When the door is closed, the seal is pressed tightly to the ground, preventing the ingress of water and other contaminants. Over time, the print weakens.
Beetles, rainwater, and debris can enter the garage through a loose seal. Replacing the original seal with a new rubber floor seal will prevent rainwater from entering your garage.
Roof Leak Correction
If the water in your garage doors comes from the roof, then installing gutters will be the best choice for eliminating leaks. Install the gutters on the sides of the roof. From there, use drainpipe extensions to grab water and take it away from the garage door so that it does not absorb under the influence of weather conditions.
Finally, add a French drain to collect wastewater to keep it away from the house. To operate the gutter, you will need to keep the gutters clean and free of debris, otherwise the leak will return.
