How to adjust garage door opener sensors?

Adjust the garage door opener safety sensors by following these steps:

1. Cut power to the sensors.
2. Loosen the bolts that hold the sensors in place.
3. Do not unscrew the sensor brackets. But try to keep the sensors as low as possible.
4. Tie a ribbon to one of the sensors so it’s centered on the sensor when pulled through the doorway.
5. Pull this ribbon through the doorway and center it on the other sensor.
6. Place a level along with the ribbon.
7. Having ensured that the sensors are in the new correct position, tighten the bolts securing the sensors.
8. Remove the tape.
